This event will be held in Headingley, Manitoba, just minutes west of Winnipeg.

​​​​​Flat & Fat will be a multi-lap event, with 2 different distances to choose from - 15 & 30 kms. (1 & 2 laps)

​​​Whichever distance you choose, come out and join in the fun!

This is the return of fat bike racing to Manitoba - let's make it a party on 2 wheels.
​
There may even be smokies, hot coffee and hot chocolate waiting at the finish line!

Race Formats:

Mass starts by race distance.​
-
30 km group will start ahead of 15 km group.

All riders will be seeded based upon their Race Plate Number.

Driving Directions:

Beaudry Provincial Park is 10 kms west of Winnipeg on PR 241 (Roblin Blvd).

Registration:

Online registration is encouraged, recommended and available at Zone4.

Registration ($30)
-
No MCA Race Licenses required, no Day Permits required.​

Choose which distance (15 or 30 km) you want to race in.

Walk-up registrations will be accepted, but early registration is encouraged.

Walk-up Registrations (day of event): $40 (cash or EFT)

Race Day Sign-In

For Race Day Registration/Sign-In, look for us in the picnic shelter at Beaudry Provincial Park, near the main parking lot..

All riders must Sign-In in order to get their race number plates.

Start/Finish:

All races will start and finish at Beaudry Provincial Park - Maple Trail river crossing.

Awards:

Prizes will be given to the top 3 finishers in each category once all races have finished.

Prizing amounts will be based upon total number of registrations - more registrations - more prizes! ​

Race Regulations:
-
First and foremost, this is a Fat Bike Race - minimum tire width is 3.8" (both front & back).
-
All racers bikes must operate a bicycle with both front and rear working brakes.
-
All racers will be given a race number plate at registration. These numbers need to affixed to the handlebars for identification during the race.
-
All racers must wear a CSA approved helmet while riding on-course and off-course.
-
Riders shall act and race with caution and respect for their fellow racers. They shall be held responsible for any accidents that they cause.

A racer must act in a sporting manner at all times and shall permit any faster rider to overtake without obstructing.
-
The organizer and/or officials retains the full right to refuse any rider from racing.

E-Bikes are welcome, under specific conditions:
-
must be pedal-assisted.
-
if it cannot be pedalled for locomotion, then it is not permitted.
-
E-Bikes will not be eligible for any prizing.
-
No Surrons, or similar e-motos permitted.

Navigation:

Course will be marked with Turn Arrows.
-
Follow the rider in front of you, and hope they know where they're going, or follow the Turn Arrows.

​Parking:
-
​Parking is available, and will be identified as soon a the race location is revealed.
​Water & Supplies:
​

There will be no Aid Stations along the course.
-
There will be Water, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and perhaps some smokies awaiting you at the Finish Line.

Courtesy and Safety:

This is not a closed course - the course is open and the public can access the course at any point.

Keep your head up at all times.
-
Be courteous to others.
-
You are responsible for you!

Washrooms:
-
Washrooms are available at the main parking lot in Beaudry Provincial Park, but they are not heated.
