Format:

• Riders are encouraged to visit all participating bike shops, but are not required to visit all of them.

• At each bike shop, riders will each receive a token that they will use to pick cards upon returning to Assiniboine Park.

• The more bike shops you visit, the more tokens you will be able to exchange for cards.

• Riders will receive a bonus card at the finish line, when they exchange their tokens.

• Regardless of how many cards a riders has picked, a maximum of 5 cards may be used towards a rider's hand.

Registration:

• Online registration is encouraged, recommended and available at Zone4.

• • Registration ($10)

  • No MCA Race Licenses required, no Day Permits required.​

• Walk-up registrations will be accepted, but early registration is encouraged.

• Walk-up Registrations (day of event): $20 (cash or EFT)

Race Day Sign-In

• Look for us in Assiniboine Park in the main parking lot near the Leaf for Race Day Registration/Sign-In.

• All riders must Sign-In in order to get their ride card.

Date & Times:

• Wild Cards takes place on June 13, 2026.

• 11:00 am Registration/Sign-In Opens​​

• 4:00 pm is the cutoff time for exchanging tokens for cards and choosing your hand.

Start/Finish:

• Wild Cards will start and finish in Assiniboine Park in the main parking lot near the Leaf.

Awards:

• Best hand wins!

• In the event of a tie, participants will pick random cards and highest card wins. ​

Race Regulations:

• First and foremost, this is a not a race. Speed doesn't matter. Being first does not win any prizes (or accolades).

• All riders bikes must operate a bicycle with both front and rear working brakes.

• All riders will be given a ride card. This card will be used at participating bike shops to identify themselves as Wild Cards participant.

• We encourage all riders to wear a helmet while riding on-course and off-course.

• E-Bikes are welcome, under specific conditions:

• • must be pedal-assisted.

  • if it cannot be pedalled for locomotion, then it is not permitted.

  • No Surrons, or similar e-motos permitted.

Navigation:

• You are responsible for determining your own path to and from each participating bike shop.

• Or follow the rider in front of you, and hope they know where they're going.

Courtesy and Safety:

• This is not a closed course - the course is open and the public can access the course at any point.

• Keep your head up at all times.

• Be courteous to others.

• You are responsible for you!

• Washrooms will be available at Assiniboine Park.
